Hero MotoCorp said on Thursday that over 14 lakh two-wheeler units were sold over the 32-day Christmas season, marking the company’s highest-ever sales total. The biggest two-wheeler manufacturer in the nation hit the sales milestone on November 15, the day between the first day of Navratras and Bhai Dooj.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-280676″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-actress-ashika-ranganath-of-kannada-was-trooped-for-not-wishing-her-fans-a-happy-d-750×563.png” alt=”theindiaprint.com actress ashika ranganath of kannada was trooped for not wishing her fans a happy d” width=”1476″ height=”1108″ title=”During the holiday season, Hero MotoCorp records its highest-ever retail sales of over 14 lakh units 6″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-actress-ashika-ranganath-of-kannada-was-trooped-for-not-wishing-her-fans-a-happy-d-750×563.png 750w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-actress-ashika-ranganath-of-kannada-was-trooped-for-not-wishing-her-fans-a-happy-d-1024×768.png 1024w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-actress-ashika-ranganath-of-kannada-was-trooped-for-not-wishing-her-fans-a-happy-d-768×576.png 768w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-actress-ashika-ranganath-of-kannada-was-trooped-for-not-wishing-her-fans-a-happy-d-150×113.png 150w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-actress-ashika-ranganath-of-kannada-was-trooped-for-not-wishing-her-fans-a-happy-d.png 1200w” sizes=”(max-width: 1476px) 100vw, 1476px” />

Hero MotoCorp said in a statement that the company had grown by 19% over the previous year and had surpassed its previous highest retail of 12.7 lakh units, which was recorded during the festive period of 2019. This success was attributed to strong demand in rural markets as well as steady retail off-take in important urban centers. Hero MotoCorp CEO Niranjan Gupta said, “Our strong portfolio of brands, scale of distribution, and new launches done this year have helped in driving this growth across geographies.”

He said, “The holiday season is unmistakable evidence that rural areas are once again experiencing growth, which bodes well for the nation as a whole and the two-wheeler industry in particular.” The record retail figure was attained, according to Hero MotoCorp Chief Business Officer (India Business Unit) Ranjivjit Singh, because of the strong consumer traction in all regions, with double-digit growth in the Central, North, South, and East zones. This record retail sales were driven, he said, by strong consumer demand in the rural markets as well as very favorable attitude in important metropolitan centers.

Our post-holiday channel inventory has now dropped to its lowest point in over three years thanks to the strong retail sales. We now have a stable growth trajectory for the remainder of the fiscal year,” Singh said.
