Premier League: Wolves trail Spurs late; Arsenal and Manchester United both win

Tottenham’s encounter against Wolverhampton Wanderers ended dramatically, condemning them to their second loss in as many weeks and denying them the opportunity to take the lead again in the English Premier League.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-278547″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-premier-league-wolves-trail-spurs-late-arsenal-and-manchester-united-both-win-imag.jpg” alt=”theindiaprint.com premier league wolves trail spurs late arsenal and manchester united both win imag” width=”1201″ height=”799″ title=”Premier League: Wolves trail Spurs late; Arsenal and Manchester United both win 3″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-premier-league-wolves-trail-spurs-late-arsenal-and-manchester-united-both-win-imag.jpg 275w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-premier-league-wolves-trail-spurs-late-arsenal-and-manchester-united-both-win-imag-150×100.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1201px) 100vw, 1201px” />

Due to injuries and bans after Tottenham’s 4-1 loss to Chelsea at home on Monday, Ange Postecoglou was forced to reorganize Tottenham’s defense on Saturday night.

Brennan Johnson started the score in the third minute, and Spurs defended well against a team that was unable to capitalize on their opportunities, so it still seemed as if they would win all three points, according to Xinhua.

Mario Lemina scored the game-winning goal in the 97th minute after slicing past the Tottenham defense and finishing Pablo Sarabia’s cross into the bottom corner. Pablo Sarabia had ultimately given Wolves the lead with a spectacular left-foot strike in the opening minute of added time.

With a 3-1 victory against Burnley at home, Arsenal overtook Tottenham, thanks to a goal from Leandro Trossard in injury time during the first half.

Nine minutes after the half, Josh Brownhill pulled one back for the visitors, but goals from Oleksandr Zinchenko and William Saliba saw Arsenal through. Fabio Vieira was sent off for a poor tackle on Brownhill, leaving Arsenal with only ten men.

Eddie Howe had a dismal return to the stadium where he was so successful as a coach as Bournemouth moved up out of the bottom three and terminated Newcastle United’s winning streak thanks to two goals from Dominic Solanke in the second half.

After a tough start, Bournemouth put on their greatest performance of the season, with goals from Solanke (with his left foot) after 60 minutes and from close range in the 73rd. This suggested that Andoni Iraola could be turning things around.

At Old Trafford, Manchester United defeated Luton Town 1-0 thanks to a strike from Victor Lindelof. Before the break, Luton had played strong defense, but after the score, United maintained their lead and hardly posed a danger.

Everton defeated Crystal Palace 3-2 on the road in a wild match to continue accumulating points. Everton took the lead in the opening minute with a goal from Vitalii Mykolenko, but Eberechi Eze’s penalty in the fifth minute quickly reversed that advantage.

Four minutes into the second half, Abdoulaye Doucoure gave Everton their lead back. Odsonne Edouard tied the score again in the 74th minute, but with four minutes remaining, Idrissa Gueye won the game after sprinting on Doucoure’s through pass.
