Today, the entertainment industry witnessed a significant milestone as Mrs. Usha Kakade, a trailblazer in construction and dedicated social activist, unveiled the logo of her forthcoming production house, Usha Kakade Productions 

 

The production house was unveiled by Bollywood bigwig Karan Johar and celebrated fashion designer Manish Malhotra. It also attracted several prominent figures from the Hindi and Marathi film industries, including Isha Koppikar, Rinku Rajguru, Laxmi Narayan Tripathi, Sumedh Mudhalkar, Tanisha Mukherjee, Sharmila Thackeray, Abhijeet Khedekar, Smita Gondkar, Sonali Kulkarni, Gauahar Khan, and Ashoke Pandit.

 

Held at Taj Lands End, Bandra, Mumbai, the logo unveiling was a glittering affair that brought together industry stalwarts. Karan Johar, synonymous with cinematic excellence, praised Mrs. Kakade’s vision and dedication. “I am extremely excited to see what Usha Kakade Productions has in store for us. Usha will always have my support, and I am sure Usha Kakade Productions is going to be a tremendous success,” Johar stated. He also expressed his anticipation for UKP’s first film, “Vicky – Full Of Love,” underscoring his appreciation for Marathi cinema.

 

Manish Malhotra, whose designs have graced countless films, applauded Mrs. Kakade for her foray into film production. “I am absolutely looking forward to Usha’s new venture. With an illustrious 18-year career in the construction industry, Mrs. Usha Kakade is also the founder of the Gravittus Foundation. Her foundation has profoundly impacted society by educating over 500,000 children about safe and unsafe touch, providing dental checkups to 80,000 children, and facilitating eye checkups and surgeries for 110,000 children. Collaborations with UNICEF have furthered educational and healthcare initiatives, significantly improving countless lives.

 

Recognizing cinema’s transformative power, Mrs. Kakade spent the past three years meticulously researching the film industry. Her dedication culminated in establishing her production house, which aims to bring meaningful and impactful stories to the screen. The first Marathi movie under the Usha Kakade Productions banner, titled “Vicky – Full Of Love,” was also announced at the event. Starring Heymal Ingley as the lead actress and Sumedh Mudhalkar as the lead actor, and directed by Tejpal Jayant Wagh, this film sets high expectations for the kind of quality and impactful storytelling that Usha Kakade Productions aims to deliver.

 

As the founder of the Gravittus Foundation, Mrs. Kakade has significantly contributed to education and healthcare initiatives, impacting the lives of hundreds of thousands of children.
